On December 27th and 28th, the Better Beef Frigorifico received an audit from the McDonald's chain, the process was conducted by the company QIMA/WQS.
The audit carries out practical and documentary verification, including the assessment of the HACCP Food Safety Management System, Good Manufacturing Practices, Specified Risk Materials, Animal Welfare and Traceability.
The McDonald's protocol aims to guarantee the humane slaughter of animals, quality, product safety and tracking of the entire process.
The result of the audit was fully satisfactory, with Better Beef being approved for meeting the required requirements and demonstrating that the company is capable of supplying raw materials to the supply chain.
“We are very happy to have been successful in the audit using the McDonald's protocol, the challenge is great but we are sure that Better Beef is on the right path”, concludes Danilo Tiago dos Santos, Quality Control Manager.
The approval is yet another recognition of the seriousness of the Meatpacker's work, which values quality and food safety in all its processes.
