O Better Beef, empresa do Better Group, um dos maiores grupos frigoríficos do Brasil, transformou mais de 40 mil toneladas de resíduos industriais em nutrição animal, em apenas um ano. Com base em fatores de emissão de referência do setor (GHG Protocol), esse resultado representa redução de 20.537 toneladas de CO₂ no ambiente.

No último dia 21 de março, a Agropecuária Vista Alegre (Better Beef Confinamento) abriu suas porteiras para um grupo especial vindo de Presidente Prudente/SP: 20 participantes do Curso Superior de Agronegócio da Fatec, composto por alunos, professores e o diretor da instituição. A ocasião foi mais do que uma visita técnica, foi um encontro entre o conhecimento que se constrói nas salas de aula e a realidade do maior confinamento parcialmente coberto da América Latina, que engorda anualmente aproximadamente 136.000 animais.
